I wrote 4 or 5 I don't remember... but different schools give different booklets with different line spacing... I know that my school's booklets have more lines on every page than the BoS one

It is partly quantity as well as quality.

My response was 4.5 pages, got 13/15, and the marker said if it was at least another page it could have got full marks, but without that, it wasnt long enough.

It was a 50 minute test btw.

Heh as far as quality goes I was happy with mine, except I had to make up an author's name and invent a quote :S I did however, memorise three other quotes (one which took up 3/4 of a page!) and didn't stuff up the other texts, so I shouldnt get too crap a mark for it.

you don't need to write more than 4.5 pages, the more you write the more mistakes you will have

If you write more, you can explain your points in more detail, give more e.g.s, etc

The more you write the more points you can make. Why stop at 4.5 if you can do 8? Obviously the more you write the more you'll cover.

btw, during the test are you ALWAYS writing?

I don't think I even stopped to think for more than 2 minute throughout the whole thing. Rarely does my pen go off the paper, as long as i'm in there i'm writting....

i guess that's okay when you know what you're talking about...

Does anyone pause for long times to gather their thoughts during an essay?
