I checked the action bus timetables and routes but it's so damn confusing. Too many lines and numbers.

If you want to know about individual bus routes use http://www.action.act.gov.au/routes_by_suburb.cfm and scroll down to 'phillip'. But most just travel in the area, quicker to take an express woden-city service.

I have a similar question:
I've been job-seeking and I have an interview at Russel Offices. How often do busses go to Russel go from civic? Also, is civic within walking distance or is it better to catch another bus there? What are the bus numbers I'd be looking for?

It's pretty difficult to work out what to do when I'm not even there!

Russel - oh do you have a job at the information centre there? I ride there regularly.

Pretty damn often - it looks like an extremly popular route to cross the water. (literally all busses take that route - see map)

Nah, walk, otherwise you have to wait for *another* bus to come, its quicker to walk.

oh cool, but yeah its a main route for most of the busses going south, so it wouldn't be hard to find a bus going that way.

Edit - you can also bike if you're fit, its not that far. but anyway

catch a 300 or 100 series bus going woden-bound and get off and walk to philip. they come every 5 minutes if i recall correctly.
