What type of activists? This is a very broad term, an activist is pretty much anyone who works for a cause. Are you calling police, soldiers, charity workers, anarchists all losers?

lol in what way are police and soldiers "activists"?

And yes "anarchists" are confirmed the biggest losers in existence

they furiously jack off about being "radical", but in reality they're just super-aggressive social democrats, and they tend to hate jews, whites, men, and anyone successful

Pretty much anyone who exercises mechanisms for change is an activist so this is an odd question; aside from the aforementioned soldiers and charity workers, you have doctors, pro-bono lawyers, parliamentarians, unionists, owners of most big businesses etc. and even voters. Almost everyone engages in activism to some degree.

activists, 2011: stop the carbon tax, it's going to marginally hurt my super and property portfolio

yeah of course, but that just makes "anarchist" a propoganda term. They're not anti-state.

That's generally a problem within the youth/student left wing movement, aside from the hard trots and anarcho-environmentalists, the identity of socialist and anarchist seems to depend on which word that person discovered first or what's trendier with their friend groups.

A chunk of it simply is because the spectrum of issues with which we define being left or right in the media is very small (equal marriage, belief in climate change, pro-choice) so when politically exploring, it's easy to brand being progressive as deriving from socialism or anarchism without question of left diversity or imbuing those terms with much meaning.

Well, no, not really. Anarchy is more a derisive term applied to these types:

They give anti-statists a bad name and due to a lot of their Marxist leanings, they aren't actual anti-statists.

it actually amazes me that david cameron is a member of united against fascism (i.e a british group full of people like that)

can you imagine alec douglas home who was the tory leader and prime minister for a short period in the early 1960s actually being a member of united against fascism

he would have thought they were persons who needed a wash

this was the man who on the equivalent of panorama in like 1963 when asked what he thought of the recent rise in unemployment he said raising a stick

OH THERE'S ROOM FOR A NEW GAME KEEPER ON MY ESTATE

what the fuck happened to the tories

I love the new Tories, Cameron as PM, Hague for all intents and purposes acting like a deputy, Alan Duncan in the cabinet, Boris Johnson Mayor, where's Anne Widdecombe? Nobody knows, long live. I loved Boris Johnson's apology to the people of Papua New Guinea for making a joke about cannibalism there.

I meant no insult to the people of Papua New Guinea who I'm sure lead lives of blameless bourgeois domesticity in common with the rest of us and I am willing to add Papua New Guinea to my itinerary of apologies.
