Is it ok to use these two texts together in my essay as well as a third text.. We have studied both memento and 50th gate in class, but are they both not prescribed texts..? or is it ok to use two prescribed texts... Thanks. It's going to suck if I can't, on account of the work i've put in.

The film Memento is no longer a prescribed text.

It was in the old syllabus, although it is frowned upon to use a previous prescribed text as a related one.
