Hi guys,

I'm doing some exercises that require the use of demoivre's theorem. It's pretty straightforward for the most part, but I've come across a question that says to "find the 4th roots of root2+root2i". I converted this into mod-arg form and let 2cis(pi/4)^16=rcis(theta), but I'm stuck at this point. Have I approached it correctly? What do I do from here?

Cheers!

Try letting

The process is exactly the same as solving a standard root of unity question...
