2013 Revised HSC examination specifications, will it make it harder?i (1 Viewer)

You've probably heard that they're changing the specifications for the HSC Maths exams next year http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/mathematics-advanced.html. It's been cut down from 120 marks to 100 which sounds good, but I don't know, does that mean the questions will be harder? They're also introducing a 10 question multiple choice section, which essentially means that there's going to be 40 questions to do in that section.

They are doing that this year. 10 multiple choice and 6 questions worth 15 marks each. Aren't they?

In theory , it should be easier, but then again each mark will be worth more, so every mistake will cost more.

I heard they are going to make it harder since there are less marks.When I heard this it really peeved me off because the previous format there was no MC which i think is better and you lost less marks on mistakes, plus the only real challenge was 10B, now i dont know.

Yeah that's what I was scared of. I didn't realise the changes took place this year, tell me how it goes for you <3
