11 days to catch up on all work?

So once again, I find myself having left most of my work till the last minute...

BIO: dot point summaries
GEOG: Urban dynamics project (due May), dot points for 1st topic

(Some VERY rough class notes for both, could do with rewriting)

ENG: Essays, frontline/additional material table
HIST: WWI project (due wk 8), dot point summaries?

What work do you think is most important to get done? Eg. I've bought the maquarie revision guides for bio + geog, so should I redo my classnotes and try and make dot points, or should I concentrate on memorising stuff from the textbook?

Should I try and get good notes/summaries for the first topics and start the projects a bit closer to when they're due? Or vice versa?

Also - notes. Are they best done on the computer or by hand? Should it be different for classwork and revision summaries?

Cheers for any helpful replies.

i'm the kind of person who has to put everything down on paper, by hand. but i will type my syllabus dot point notes up once i have finished writing them. the computer's better for editing and any future changes.

yeah it's time to start working for me =\ i've slacked off too much in the past month.

well, are you better reading information out of the textbook then just automatically start writing answers down from memory? Or do you need to have notes written? See which one you're better at. I write my notes by hand. But most people do it on the computer because it is more neater and they can clearly seen what they've typed (not that I'm saying that I can't read my own handwriting :) ).

As with the projects and summaries, I suggest you start planning your project now (I have two massive projects to do so I'm doing most of the stuff now) so then you don't get stressed in between. As for the summaries, what's bos here for? If you don't have time, then you can always go to the resource section and print off some notes within a few minutes UNLESS you like doing your own notes so that you yourself can understand it.

Macq Revision guide is good because it already has everything fully summarised for you, so keep referring to that (but som. Sometimes it's not in detail so maybe you have to add something here and there). Photocopy the diagrams it has and stick them in your notes. Keep doing the questions as you go along each topic at school, not by yourself.

edit: I think I have typed more than I needed to :p

I am in the same situation. I realised that I needed to start work earlier, but knowing it and actually doing it is totally different.
I started my Chemistry summaries during the first few days, but then I just kinda stopped. I have been reading Emma and Wild Swans for English though...and browsing through newspapers for case studies..but that's about it.
I will start soon though. I'll give it a day or two... once I starting getting panic attacks, I'll know its time to start. :)

see i think this is where most people get into trouble, "I'll start in a day or two". These often turn into more days, then weeks until its the end of the holidays and you think, "crap I haven't done any work".
