Just checking, which subjects DONT give 1/2 marks...

i'm doing adv eng, maths, maths ext 1, bio phys and chem and only a few of my teachers are actually sure... anyone help me out???

All subjects do not give out half marks.

Your question would have been better answered if it had been:

"Which subjects allow half marks"
To which the answer would be: none.

I think you CAN get half a mark in the HSC.

You can get 1/2 marks in your assessments but i think they round it up before they send them off to BOS

(I don't have proof (websites, documents, etc explicitly stating this), but I know you can't).

This is true, but most of the time you don't get half marks (not at my school anyway).

Also, this has been posted in UAI/HSC marks, so I don't think Assessment Marks apply :)

During the marking of HSC exams, only whole marks are awarded.

However, due to various aligning/scaling/moderating processes, it is possible to end up with a final decimal mark. The Board stores marks to 1 decimal place, and this level of precision is maintained throughout UAI calculations and so on.

Your Record of Achievement reports only rounded marks.

i would have thought they would be more accurate....

for 60k people doing HSC 1 decimal place isn't enough

At our school, we have assessment marks to 6 decimal places I believe.

uhm, i fink for actual hsc u can't get half a mark, but ur final mark (ie, school asmt + hsc) can be some half marks..... cuz if u get 95 for school asmt, 96 for hsc, u get 95.5
