I know obviously you would use as many in like a modern essay for example, but are they necessary and if so, roughly how many can get you by? I have a few that I know roughly but am wondering whether I should learn them thoroughly.

I need abseloute confirmation to see how stuffed I am. If I am the only person studying the course at my school is there any moderation between assessment marks and examination marks or do I basically get my exam mark?
