    General Thoughts: Physics

Re: 2009 HSC Physics - How did you go? I think this is pretty much correct, except for 9, which i cannot confirm. The question came up before, but was very confusing.... If there is a rod and there is a velocity moving this rod in the downard direction... does that mean force is down...

    General Thoughts: Physics

Re: 2009 HSC Physics - How did you go? I still believe its C. A cannot possibly be correct, gravitational potential energy is 0 at infinite and negative as we get closer to the planet. Thus to move from a lower orbit, to a higher orbit.. our GPE would go from a VERY negative figure, to...

    General Thoughts: Physics

Re: 2009 HSC Physics - How did you go? I think that question will be removed or something. Since when did the BOS punish looking overly into the question? (although you could answer that question with, since always) For the Germanium-silicon one.. I put down C. Silicon is more abundant...

    why does e=mc^2?

I always figured it stemmed from kinetic energy = .5 Mv^2.. where V = C. Where the .5 goes probably has its roots in the difference between kinetic energy and total energy. Probably far far over simplified, but it's a good place holder until uni enlightens me.

    "PEEL" paragraph structure: Evidence

I assume you're all familiar with the idea of "PEEL" Point, explain, evidence, link. But what exactly constitutes as evidence? Must i provide a quote from a historian? May i try to reason why my "point" is correct using logic? Should i just refer to general information form the course (eg...

    The full mark response.

How important are these factors in the full mark response: -The presence of accurate dates -The presnce of quotes from historians -An argument, or a new idea about the question being asked. They are all important, but How important in relation to each other are they?
