    Sydney-Melbourne anyone?

Are there no bikers from UNSW on this board? Both of us had never done this kind of a long distance trip on bike before so its kindof interesting n challenging. As you can probably calculate, u'll need to be able to travel on average 80kms/day. Judging from others that had done the journey...

    Sydney-Melbourne anyone?

My buddy and I are planning to go for a bicycle tour from sydney to melbourne, stay a couple of days in melbourne and then return by train. It would be nice to travel in a larger group. If anyone or groups from UNSW are interested to join us, please let us know. We are currently both students of...

    Islam

I'm a catholic but not a strict believer. But as far as my knowledge or recollection of Jesus killing the fig tree goes, I believe the interpretation to that is that the fig-tree was chosen by Jesus because of its significance in Roman and Jewish culture at that time as something of esteem. It...

me2, reading some of the posts cracks me up especially those that stereotype. Didn't have the time to read the entire thread but I think I can pretty much grasp the rest from your posts. Agreed with what u're saying. On that matter, do u think it's easier for the girls? Like since I've been...

    Islam

I didn't mean to imply that Islam was the cause of these bad muslims. I apologise if I've given you that impression. I am simply stating the years of experience I have with them. I come from India where there are tonnes of both Hindus and Muslims (not arabs) especially in the areas where I had...

    Islam

Not to disrespect the muslims or those who believe in muslims and its religion, having come from a state with millions of muslims and having business dealings with some of them, I've to say that there're the ones that I would keep an eye out for. I even had a muslim friend once when I was in...

Answers to Accommodation/Colleges questions at UNSW

I'm in my first year and living in the Barker Apartment now. I arrived in sydney a week after session 2 started but I got in pretty comfortably and without hassel on the same day that I applied. I don't know how it compares with the other colleges but from my experience so far, it's pretty...

    Martial Arts Tutor Wanted

Thai chi is a form of martial art but is used mostly by older people as a form of exercise so it's done slowly. However in an actual fight, it is different. It can be quick and effective against a strong opponent. I think Jet Li demonstrated it in one of his movie 'Once Upon a Time in China' but...

Those pictures are mine, not plagiarized... heh. I took them a couple of days back with my Kodak DX7590 Digital Camera. The original size was big so I had to resized them. The first picture is a bit blurry, I tried to lean against something to stable my hand. I guess I'm no pro yet.... :)

    general UNSW chit-chat

My first time seeing those cops on motorbikes....heh. and my initial thought as they approached from afar was that they were gang members, as they were dressed in black. Hope they didn't see me giggling when I realized seconds later who they were on closer look.... :P
