When does uni actually start for first year students at UTS?

My friend got 74.15 UAi and he really wants to do B of Science(flexible) with had a 2007 UAI cut off 74.70. Now his worried about the 2008 cutoff, if the UAI cutoff is raised then how much do u guys think it will be raised by? I mean it wont be anything dramatic, like 74.70 to 79 or 80, will it?

I want to do B of science and my top perference is UTS but I am wondering about UNSW or MQ cause some of my friends go there, I will be alone in UTS. So which uni would be better for Science, I know its hard to answer these questions but I really would appreciate some comments thanks

in 2006 i saw 2 degrees and interested me B of Bioinformatics and B of Geoinformatics. what happened to those courses in 2008, why have they been taken off?
