I also considered applying for girraween and Penrith but they usually don't have too many spots for yr 9.
girra, penrith and nsg all have less than 5 spots, but they're lower ranked(nsg is 8th, girra and penrith are ~high 30s) which might help you get in.
you're definitely capable of getting into ruse or baulko, but if you don't, i would apply for girra or penrith as first choice for entry into year 10 as thats when both of them open a new class.

Yep Baulkham Hills usually they doesn't state it on their website, but I've recorded that usually they have around 25 to 30 spots for Y9 entry based on my previous students. You can try to call them and ask but sometimes schools don't tell parents and students.
Ohh okay thank you

Hi guys!! For people who are looking to apply next year, pm me and I'll answer all ur questions, including testing + interview.
I've only done the Edutest so far, so I can't speak on behalf of the HAST, but I'll definitely still help with your interview if you get to that stage. I've helped out quite a few people now, and I'm more than willing to speak to whoever else wants a bit of guidance. For reference, I made Ruse with about 3 days of edutest prep lol [i've also made some priv schools for scholarship, nsg and fort st (year10 entry tho so no hast)]. I'll help you build that god-tier portfolio trust

yes but for year 11 entry there's generally less competition, because the lowest they accepted for year 9 was around 3 superiors considering 100+ students take the test, many from top 10 schools a few years ago, whereas for year 9 because there are less competitors and also slightly lowered admission rates , the range can expand to 2 superiors and lower.

id say as you increase in grades from grade 9 entry, the reliance on your edutest dwindles with a heavier reliance on your extra curriculars and reports, like in year 9 - more edutest, less extracurricular, year 10 - edutest, extracurricular (but more than year 9), year 11- edutest, but extracurricular is very important

yeah i think the new principal is quite new compared to the old principal, because she was more academic oriented. a lot of people previously got in purely through academics, and a large portion barely did any extra curriculars. yeah lol dopierala is quite performative

which is why i said earlier that asking for an appeal at ruse might be a hassle and a waste of time because my friend sent so many appeals, and they like just rush through it in the last day to get it over and done with. new principal also the reason why edu results came out so late
