guys for comprehension do u guys follow the 4 marks = 3 examples
Yeah it’s the safety precaution method in case u get one wrong but like usually they’re quiet chill about the 3 and 4 markers so I would only do it for 5-6 markers like 4 and 5 quotes/techniques respectively

Do mark-1 quotes and add a topic sentence. For 6 marks though do two BPs with 2 quotes each + intro + conclusion. Unless it’s “compare” then 4 quotes per BP is good to be safe.

I feel like everywhere I check, the answer is different, but if the question specifically asks for language techniques, does that mean you can’t use structural techniques? And actually what are language techniques anyways?

wait if we get a q/ like this:

To what extent does 1984 examine the agency of the individual in response to the collective?

Answer with close reference to language forms, features and structures.

Do we need to mention form/features in our thesis?

I think they would expect you to at least mention the features or structure that are unique to the text and give it meaning overall. Like post modern techniques or stream-of-consciousness style or somehting. And then expand on it in your body paragraphs.

dont memorise the essay word for word, know your framework inside and out and your quotes and where they go, the technique and then the effect of it. Thats all you need to know, dont make the mistake of memorising word for word, because when youre in the exam, you risk sounding robotic instead of engaging with the question throughout the entire essay

You should also keep testing yourself whether you can explain what it means and how it links, talk to yourself, write it down in paper as practice

This is what helped me over year 12 im not sure if this is effective for everyone
thank you so much :inlove:

I wouldn't include the mention of form/features in your thesis, from my interpretation, I would just reflect that I used forms and features in my analysis of the text but im not sure if thats the right way
