nah thats guaranteed deathu should go to chifley instead![]()
The offer is only given based off if ur year 11 marks were good enough for the course (you will be given the prep school if u dont qualify for any course). my mate got rejected from law (she got Cs and Bs at a Non gateway school) but instead got into criminology. This is more targeted towards students who have fewer opportunities, lack of funding and support. The fact u compared the average atar of 70 to a mystery mark gives it away that u clearly don't understand class/ financial differences and the whole basis of gateway being equity. Your complaint feels like a projection that u fear not getting into ur course due to a "retard" taking ur place. It's honestly a shame people believe UNSW is lowering their standards when they're actually helping disadvantaged people.they are legit increasing the atar cut off by atleast 2 points. That is not a miniscule amount. To add more salt to the wound, It's unfair for everyone else when someone with gateway can get in with 70 or even a mystery atar into unsw (for unconditional). If someone achieves a mystery atar, they were genetically cooked (retarded) from the beginning and their intelligence wasn't capped just cause they lived in mount druitt.
tyy that's what i thought too initiallynot considered at all, its only if u go gateway school and/or live in a low socioeconomic area
I made a study plan until grad the lock in will be generationalchanging the topic, what's everybody's plan looking like till the hsc
I think it is an average of ur external and internal markout of curiosity, which ATAR calculators are generally accepted as "most accurate" with what marks
and out of further curiosity, how are state ranks calculated? is it purely by raw mark in HSC or do internals matter? what marks SR for different subjects?
Well from what I’ve seen the atar reveal threads last year, atar compass seems to be the most accurate one, but sounds like it consistently overestimates by around 00.30out of curiosity, which ATAR calculators are generally accepted as "most accurate" with what marks

just subtract 0.5 then. talent100 is so shit, it's 2 points lower than uac calculatorWell from what I’ve seen the atar reveal threads last year, atar compass seems to be the most accurate one, but sounds like it consistently overestimates by around 00.30
none of them are really accurate, but uac is the best. Its cuz the tests are different for each year and the cohort performance also varies. e.g. business actually scaled decently in 2023 but deteriorated in 2024.out of curiosity, which ATAR calculators are generally accepted as "most accurate" with what marks

idk for sure. but 2024 hsc regardless was easier than 2023 for most subjects so the scaling sorta decreasedView attachment 48901
business never scaled decently. Scaling for one subject actually pretty constant every year relative to other subjects
