guys how to get back in the rhythm of studying after trials im kinda lost rn cant get my focus back
Fr same but for me, I just tell myself to do five minutes/ one single question (depending on the subject) and because I’m already at my table, I just keep studying with momentum.

yea but the problem for me is when i try papers, say 2u or 3u math papers, i cant be asked to do it entirely. At the end of the day i really didnt study anything.

i have my second round of trials next week so thats the only reason why im studying

i recommend u to start off light and consistent now, look over the mistakes u made in trials and note them in a book or document.
if u do math, i reckon u should get started with papers now. ur future self will thank u. one paper every two days is great.
if u have flashcards, do them. doenst take alot of effort and makes u feel productive
go on the nesa mcq site and do multiple choice (if they have ur subjects)
ur not gonna start from zero to 8 hours so start now by going up by a bit.
e.g tmrw u can start with 3 hours depending on ur liking, and then go up to 3.5 or 4 hours

Who wants to give me a quick crash course on average rate of change, speed, velocity, acceleration, etc in calculus. I just need a brief refresher so I don’t get cooked tmrw
Average rate of change? Do you mean average velocity? That's just the change in displacement over the change in time (so subtract the final value of both from the initial value). This is much simpler than calculus questions involving differentiation, which require you to find the instantaneous rate of change.

As for displacement (x, or s for physics), velocity (v, or x with a dot on top) and acceleration (a, or x with 2 dots on top) - differentiate the x function for the v function, and differentiate the v function for the a function. I'm assuming you haven't done integration yet?

Remember that the above 3 are the vector values, and their scalar equivalents of x and v are distance and speed. For those, you would typically need a graph. Remember that vector values include both magnitude and direction, while scalar values only include magnitude. For example, distance is just how much ground you've covered, while displacement is how far you end up from your starting position.

guys I'm looking at the raw marks database for chem and why does it look like it barely scales...
waittt really??? I heard it does scale well, im pretty sure even if u get a 50 it goes up? idk how true that is tho I saw it on this nesa data thing

is a 92/100 for english advanced trials a good mark? i mean, i ranked first in my cohort but idk if our cohort is very strong, so i wanted to put things into perspective. i did the cssa trial btw
any first in cohort mark is great
I'd be happy with that mark, but I won't fully get mine back until Monday so not sure how others went at my school

I will never understand why anyone would waste their time on such a pointless subject like English Ext 2. Unlike 3u and 4u maths that are actually applicable for Uni courses, etc, you gain nothing from doing EE2 besides probably a sense of personal accomplishment and a keener eye in English as a whole.
Still counts towards your ATAR, so if you're good at it and love it, you might as well do it.
