guys im cooked for short answer like i blank out on techniques and end up using simple shi like similie
And? There's nothing wrong with that

Thats the issue with a lot of people. They think using simple techniques is a sin but at the end of the day you can use any technique as long as you convey your point well ( Don't fucking waffle for the sake of waffling)
If you can't think of a technique for a poem theres literally enjambment which can be found in almost all poems. Same for prose extracts and narratives -> First person omniscient etc
