Any Advice For An Athiest In The Closet?

My family are all extremely religious Christians who are opposed to the idea that I might have any views different to those that they hold. Bordering on stereotypical religious extremists with their unquestioning following of the bible, specifically regarding homosexuality, etc.. Don't get me...

Starting B Commerce Next Year..? Help!

Interesting. A few people have mentioned that there's calculus and stuff involved as well when you have to get through all the core subjects..So that's not true?

Starting B Commerce Next Year..? Help!

Hi guys! I'm considering doing a bachelor of Commerce next year, majoring in Human Resource Management. As I understand it, before I can pick a major I have to do a basic grounding in other areas such as accounting in my first semester. I dropped maths at the end of year 10. How difficult...

    Should I repeat Year 12?

Mate, high 80s and low 70s are nothing to be ashamed about. I guess they're not 90's stuff, but they're not awful marks either. You're talking like got got an ATAR of 55 or something. My advice would be NOT to repeat year 12 as it would just be wasting a year, and to rather start uni and then...

    Share your 2012 ATAR here

83.85..It may not be as high as a lot of the other posters on here, but I'm certainly happy with it and it'll get me into the course that I want to do. :spin:

    Sad about HSC Marks..

Don't let yourself be defined as a person by your ATAR. It's only one small stepping stone to achieving dreams - certainly not the end of anything. Cheer up, it's nearly Christmas! :)

    A Brief ATAR Reminder...

Seeing as today marks the release of the ATARS, I just thought I'd remind you all of something...At the end of the day, your ATAR is nothing more than a number – a number you'd be foolish to allow to define you as a person. Regardless of whether you see yourself as having done poorly or...

    assistance for a laptop noob

Oh, and one other thing..You can generally save yourself a lot of money by shopping around online for laptops versus physically buying them from stores that raise the price of the product to make profit. Check that out, too, and perhaps you'll be able to get more for your money's worth.

    assistance for a laptop noob

Apple have now fixed this by redesigning the way their fans work, as is soon in the new Macbook Pro. In answer to OP's question, I'd have to agree with ahdil33, though Macs aren't the best for games, they should certainly be able to handle any online games that you might be playing, like WOW...

    Illness/Misadventure - Death Of A Family Friend

I just found out that a family friend passed away from a massive heart attack. I feel numb right now, and it hasn't really sunk in yet..I have two HSC exams left to go. One tomorrow and one the day afterward. Am I eligible for illness/misadventure because of this? I'm not sure if I'd need any...
