    this question was in the '04 neap paper: Citric acid and acetic acid are both weak acids. State why citric acid is stronger than acetic acid. is it something to do with the bonds?.....coz it cant be coz of dissociation....help plz

    Neutralization as a safety procedure

    according to conq. chem ..."the enthalpy change, for neutralisation reactions is approx. -56kJ/mol" is that hot? ....lol :D all i noe is that -ve enthalpy is exothermic and +ve is endothermic.:p but i guess it depends on what kind of acid and what base reacts.

    u can neutralise with a base but use a weak base so the heat released is kept at a minimum, also use a solid so the acid can be "soaked up" and not spread out causing more damage. Then afterwards, splash lots of water over it and u can clean it up. sodium carbonate can also be used for...

    if there were two metals (both more reactive than iron) used to protect iron by coating it a layer of the metal. Which one would be better? Would it be the most reactive one out of the two?..........Or would it be the one less reactive out of the two since it wouldnt corrode as much and...
