GOOD. You know what? I was failing my school assessment and that was even up to the Trial HSC. Bottom 10? I studied so hard (top 3 for external) and ended up getting 99.25. Currently, I am studying Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or commonly known as the MBBS course.
THINK ABOUT...
I can give you an estimate ATAR of 80-85.
Each school does different things and thus school assessment is inaccurate. I am not saying "fail your school assessment". If you do well in both, your mark jumps magically. School assessment mark affect your whole mark. I know this. However, coming...
No, each school does different things and thus school assessment is inaccurate. I am not saying "fail your school assessment". If you do well in both, your mark jumps magically. School assessment mark affect your whole mark. I know this. However, coming last in school assessment and coming first...
On top of this, technically it is 50% 50% but actually it is not. Your external examination worth way more than 50% as everybody does it at the same time and it is more accurate. But normally a person who topped at school tops external so...
It is possible. Why not? Technically it is 50% 50% but if you do well in your HSC your school mark goes up. Just do well in your external. Your school rank is very high and thus it is possible.
It is really your external mark. failing school and acing external is much much much better than doing perfect at school and failing external. But the THEORY is that people who top school tops external (in that cohort). It is really how you perform in your external and this applies to everybody...
One of my friends went to a 240th ranked school and ranked very low so school gave him 60 but he ended up getting 90 (external) so his overall was not 75, it was 85. If he was coming first, he couldodgot 93+. Your school mark is very important but I do not think it is 50% 50%.
Technically your school assessment marks including trials are 50% but failing school + acing external is much better than doing extremly good at school + failing external. But normally people who performed well in the trials --> does well in their external as well.
Ive never worried about my mathematics extension 2 mark as my school was in the thop 20. Even though I was in the bottom 10, I ended up with a mid band E4 mark. Just do really well in your upcoming HSC. Your school mark is also important but not as important as your external.
CLD, do not worry as we do not work for the Board of Studies and/or the department of education. If you do really well, you might get high band 6s for both. On the other hand, this might be an impossible mission. We don't know. Use our comments as a GUIDE ONLY.
