I don't think film techniques would be part of it. It'll most likely be the dialogue so they can put it on exam paper? I hated "gotaifumanzoku" lol, and envy those who get to do spirited away... .

yeah. some other universities also give ppl living in rural areas imaginary bonus UAI points if they don't make the cut-off to the program they want..... Actual UAI don't increase.
