So ive seen a variation of questions use mkv or kv for resistance but they never specify which one to use as they usually say 'resistance is proportional to velocity' so I was just wondering how do you know which one to use? Thanks

ultimately it does not matter, think about it, if u use kv as the resistance force and then divide by mass (from F =ma) then k/m is just another constant aka it can be written as kv again. in comparisant if u use mkv as the resistance force then dividing out by the mass will just give k straight away. however if they ask u to write it with one or the other, then obviously do that, otherwise its just ur preference
