Work load in yr 10 should be pre minimal ngl. By next term tho (when you start y11), you should expect around 15 pages hw every wk. Pacing wise, as someone whos not in A1s, i can't really comment, but it should be relatively the same across all A classes (Ik this is controversial to say). You see, A classes go through the same work as all the other grades each week (e.g: this week there was statistical analysis (I) so all classes will do the same topic), so pacing wont be too bad, but as a result of being in A1s, you'll likely be subjected to much more analysis into the topic than other classes. Qns in the hw may become more abstract than what you would see in a grade such as A3s or A2s, but it varies on the topic (like the polys (III) last week were basically the same for all grades) [PERMS AND COMBS WERE ANOTHER BREED THO OML]

i recommend staying ahead of what drdu is doing because for me it was slightly hard to learn the concepts from scratch in class. like william du especially often talks as if you already know it and the classes are like pretty fast paced so its hard to absorb everything. just follow along w cambridge (they copy a bunch of questions from there too) otherwise its easy to get overwhelmed and spend 8hr on hw (like i did when i started). other than that probably just try to do the hw as soon as possible and throughout the week just look through the hw and your notes. to stay in a1 you just need to maintain >80 quiz average and not miss 4 homeworks/lessons.

from what ive heard, its just 2 3/4 hours of painful hard work where the questions are impossible to answer and apparently theres so much work, like 20 pages a week

And its the topic from the week before so you've got like a week to revise.

whoever told u that lied oml πŸ’€ the qns are obv harder than the hw ones, but they wont take hours. 20+ pages is for 4U classes (which is in good reason)

Yeah i think its for 4u but i honestly shouldnt be surprised, i mean, the fees are ALMOST 2000 DOLLARS FOR ONE SUBJECT??? meaning that if i take 3 and 4 units that would be 3.5k PER TERM JUST FOR MATHS
