Ngl only just realised this forum exists, I figured it’d be nice to be able to talk here instead of the “has anyone started their prelims yet?” thread

How has everyone’s first week of year 12 been?

Pretty good, kinda loving the fact that in just a couple weeks I’ll never have to do business or religion again!

Ahh same, everyone else seems to be doing so much all of a sudden and I feel lazy for not doing much eventhough we’ve had barely any homework!

oh i wish that was me 😭 for maths we've almost finished the first chapter of cambridge (my teacher said we would be speedrunning through the advanced topics so we could spend much more time on x1 and x2, and esp since we learned series and sequences in y10), and in english the teacher has set quite a few stuff already even though we've just started merchant of venice, the rest of my subjects have a ton of work already :')

(honestly though i feel you should just rest while you can)

Wow that’s so much, my maths advanced class has gotten through 2 exercises, we’ve only done one in extension and we haven’t even started extension 2 😬

Tbh it still feels like I’m in year 11, year 12 still feels like a scary thing that I’m months away from

how many hours are you guys studying?
not a lot for now, i study around 3-4 hours on the weekdays i don't go tutoring (i get home from school late), but i'm trying to slowly increase the time i spend on the weekends to be twice as much, not so much in one go because i burn out easily

we haven't even started either extension at all and i think the next topic is still advanced, but tbh i feel like it allows for a more easier start to y12 yknow?

Jeez to think I’m gonna be competing against people like you in the hsc… I don’t stand a chance haha

Yeah that makes sense, unfortunately my school runs the extension class seperate to advanced (although we have the same teacher for both) so that’s not really an option for us :(

hello everyone we've finally made it to the top of the high school social heirarchy!!

for maths we got our first assessment already... at least it's only a hand in 😅
Haha it feels good to finally be the top again, haven’t felt like this since year 6

Do you like hand in maths tasks? I’ve always hated them 😲
