Crazy stupid calculation never seen before

There was an equilibrium calc which was whacky, a precipitation titration and an enthalpy calc but I can't remember the rest

One of them was on finding an equilibirum constant given all these stupid equations connecting the concentrations of each species

It was so different to what I've seen before. A lot of the questions seemed very hard at first but turned out to be easier with some problem solving and thought.

But definitely harder than 2019 by a SIGNIFICANT margin

Yeah this is to be expected the 2019 paper was the first of the new syllabus so they probably set a medium difficulty as a baseline, but the 2020 HSC paper is probably going to be reflective of what will now be the new normal for the chemistry papers

Yeah, true. Honestly it was a good difficulty. You wouldn't be able to do very well at all without knowing your stuff well.

The calculations were really conceptual like you had to think laterally. So much harder than last year
