Does anyone think "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" would be a good related text? I thought it would suit belonging for obvious reasons, so what do you all think?

How would it not? Typical high school scenario - from the outcast to the best then a happy ending all about how much everyone loves each other. All served on a silver platter.

It might demonstrate belonging but chances are you'll look like a spaz doing it.

By all means, use it as a text - increase my ATAR all you want.

Hey, would anyone know if 'Remember the Titans' is a good text for belonging? and if so, how does it relate to belonging? Actually also would 'The Terminal' (the one with Tom Hanks) be a good or better text than 'Remember the Titans'? And if so,what ideas of belonging would relate to it? Cheers

i have an assignment on belonging and the question is " texts show that belonging enriches and challenges. to what extent do the texts you have chosen support this idea?" only trouble is, i can't find any decent texts.
does anyone have any suggestions?

steer away from all songs imho. they're very limited in terms of wat they say about ideas (let alone belonging) and its just way too subjective to analyse one, since they can draw out different meanings to different ppl (which i guess is one of the points of english, your own views and all but dont get too personal)

Find a poem.

Ones by Robert Frost and T.S Eliot are worthy choices.

Both shit choices. Anything related to teenagers is literary trash.

im doing breakaway by kelly clarkson
Don't do it.

This.

To the OP: Benjamin Button is a formidable film for belonging. Might be shallow in displaying different types of belonging though.

Yeah, Of Mice and Men is good. Quality text, with good belonging links.
