I am studying the Prelude at present, is anyone else?

I understand the general idea is that Wordsworth is reflecting on events in his life and has developed values by responding to nature and what it has taught him, but the second and last paragraph confuse me a little.

Brain storm with me?

I'm terribly confused. You're studying Wordsworth, you mean, he who is not in the Syllabus?

I'm doing the Preface as well, but I haven't started deconstruction.

Hmmm

All I know so far, in terms of Wordsworth's writing, is that he likes to repeat himself - as to not let to think about anything other than what he is trying to tell you. He doesn't want you off on a tangent, he wants to directly instill his ideas into you.

Like what I just did.

Also, later in life, Wordsworth had to go against some of the virtues he expressed in the Preface when he became the Poet Laureate of Britain.

Just some ideas I've gotten so far. I'd grab it right now - but it's 10:30pm :O
