Hey I'm thinking of transfering into that course! Would you recommend B Business (Accounting) or Business & Commerce with a major in Accounting?? If I do a major in accounting does that qualify me to be an accountant??

i dont do b.business (accounting)

i do b.business & commerce (accounting, banking & finance)

well its really up to u.....the only difference is that the business (accounting) course is already set for u and has a program structure that needs to b followed when doing ur subjects

b.biz & com is different in a way that it ismore broad and u can do watever subject u want anytime as long as u do the subs in the major outline.

plus i saw that b.biz com was 87.something uai this year....it was 85 wen i did hsc 2 yrs ago

take me for example.....im doing b.biz & com majoring in accounting, banking and finance. in 1st yr u do broad subjects , then in 2nd yr onwards u choose ur majors. i did 4 finance subjects last yr and this yr i am doing 4 accounting subjects. i dont hv to follow the structure n go in order sorta thing. basically its more flexible .

but it all depends on the person and wat they really want. both get accredited by CPA and CA if u want to do them after u graduate so it doesnt matter in that sense.

yes if u do a major in accounting u can b an accountant

in my opinion i think b.biz & com is better that b.biz(accounting) coz its more flexible. and im biased

i dont hv my marketing, intro to law and eco books no more

but i stil have my accounting reports n decisions book if u want to buy them. it comes with 2 textbooks, 1 is like 1000 pages (copious would kno coz we were in the same subject) and the other is like 700 pages. u can buy both of them. hv a look at wat textbooks u need for that subject coz the textbook changes every year. hit me back if ur interested.

does uws help you find job for work experience?

not accounting but commerce is broader n easier to get a job

i dont think any biz com course at uws has work exp in it

uws dont hv work exp man, they dont help u find anything LOL

u can do both man. do a double major if u want to
