I'm currently in year 9 and I'm wondering what tutoring place I should go to or are there any good private tutors. I went to pre uni for 1 term but my maths teacher (Mr Singh) isn't that good at teaching as he doesn't really explain how to solve the questions. I live near strathfield and am willing to travel.

Pre Uni is useless after primary school (I can still remember back in yr 7 I went to pre uni and they had a drunk woman as a tutor for science that could barely walk bc she was that intoxicated). Given you are spending around that 550 mark for Maths, I suggest you should try Ngo and Sons (good teachers+pricing)

Yeah I went in primary school and started doing tutoring again but didn't know where to go. I've also seen others say that Dr du is good. Which one is better and what are the differences.

Ok I'll consider going to Dr du then. Do you know what's on the entrance test or what I should study to get into a good class.
its just what your school is currently testing maybe a topics ahead though depending on where your school is at, but they don't test anything too difficult and everything in the test is reasonable. However if you are aiming for a1,a2, then make sure to get some practice beforehand and do some yearly past papers

for a yr 9 student, I'd say you'd be looking at surds, quads, cubic factorisation and expansion, etc (I did yr 9 du when I first started so I can vaguely remember some topics).

i totally disagree!!!! i've been to both. i'm currently in dr truong's class now. i can honestly say, dr du cant teach, lol but the kids are just there to have fun and socialise. at du, we just did the work ourselves.

which class are you in at du's?

Are you sure you weren't just in a rlly social class? I'm currently online (due to travel issues) but attended A2s for about 3weeks and didn't see anything that significant tbh.

Believe it or not, preuni used to be good for hsc. The owner of Delra english went there and he got 99.95. I cannot imagine any high school students would go there now.

Seriously, if dr du is that bad, I would never go there.
