i mean you're probably gonna be really lost if you have no exp with this before and just going off a textbook
my experience is that you get the basics of every topic pretty quick but with everything in mx2 it gets really difficult with application and questions involving multiple topics. it does click but from experience without tutoring it can take months to actually happen. dk if tutoring might speed that up, but practise practise is key

With mx2, the content isn't hard but the questions are. For example, complex numbers, mx2 integration methods, and mx2 mechanics are all taught in most first year uni math courses. So, just learn the content through organic chemistry tutor videos on yt, and the harder questions should follow

I have seen a ChatGPT "answer" with calculations where simply checking them in a calculator showed the computations going from line to line were incorrect.

I have also seen this from an AI:

bp-dodecane ethanoic acid - bing.png

This answer explains why the boiling point of ethanoic acid is higher than the boiling point of dodecane. I find this problematic because the BP of ethanoic acid is 118 oC whereas the boiling point of dodecane is 216 oC, and I had always understood 216 to be bigger than 118.

skip cambridge questions imo, just do past paper questions

the author is so patronizing and loves the word "obviously" like shut the fuck up, you're teaching me

plus I'm pretty sure 70% of the cambridge maths extension 2 textbook is for the old syllabus.

The David Sadler textbook is definitely for the current syllabus, @coolcat6778, and has lots of good questions - though I agree that past papers is the way to go when close to exams.

there's stuff like circular motion from the old syllabus in the newest extension 2 textbook , which obviously hasn't been examined so far cause it's not in the new syllabus

Maybe try some textbook with a solution like this:

I wouldn't recommend using GPT in those scenarios it's good if you already know what to expect or can tell if it's hallucinating but not for studying something completely new to you.

Also don't frustrated if you cannot solve some of the harder questions from Cambridge. Have a look at some past papers to understand the actual expectations around each topic.

exactly, MX2 should be the official abbreviation for Maths Extension 2. ME2 genuinely sounds retarded
