I think it means it is out of the top 250 or smth

no but other schools r on the list like my old school was lowest third in the state (now idk but i think still below 50) n it made the list

I think it just means possibly that ur school didn't give the no. of hsc students or no. of exams taken to be publicly accessible, like the number y'know, because they are ranking based on something called D.A success rate which is calculated as the following ratio : (number of band 6s)/(number of HSC exams taken) the higher the percentage of exams that have produced band 6's the higher the school ranking basically. So if one of the fields are missing then they cannot calculate the D.A success rate and thus give a ranking. I hope this helps.
