Oh. I thought it was all sorts of assessments. But it’s kinda unfair cause if people are able to take the day off the practice why can’t we take the day off to study. Isn’t it the same thing
not the same thing bc for hsc you have flexible attendance (just need to attend the exam and dont need to go to school). but for performance based tasks that happen outside of the hsc assessment period they are getting compensated by being given a day off.
also for performances if they dont have the day before off school they may or may not have everythign they need (outside of the scope of their actual performance). so its not always a benefit as much as preventing a risk. its not abt the practise. they need to prep instruments, need to get with a group if its a music ensemble, need to sometimes travel to a diff place apart from school.
if you're going to NEED 1 extra day to study for a written exam or practise for a performance youre cooked either way. you need to have worked on your hsc study for days and days to be properly prepared. the one extra day is not make or break if you prepared properly
