That's a good point. Obviously we can't avoid the media all together, but you can't believe everything you see and hear so it's important to decide for yourself.

But like I said, if it's in NW it's true :D

personal view on any form of policitican-'A great politician is one who speaks many but means nothing'

anyway, i watch programs lyk media watch and read commentaries on the media networks/industry once in while. soon u realise the huge inaccuracies and lies presented by the media, which is acceptable in small quantities, but then tis inaccuracy is becoming so common, and wat's worse, 'reliable' sources r forced 2 compete wif these inaccurate reports, by reporting lies themselves to gain audience and compete for profits/sponsors, so in all the whole private media system is becoming a buch of gossipers who presents wat is more interesting than truthful. so will there be a future for justified information...?

well, they don't call him a shock jock for nothing. though according to the latest ratings, he's gone down a little. mike carlton from 2UE is more of a lefty, and angela catterns from 702ABC doesn't sound as political, and they seem to be gaining popularity.

so maybe there is hope for us all.
702ABC & 630NewsRadio rulez!

The fact of the matter is you either come to your own conclusions or let others do it for you which is where the media comes in.

I propose an addition to Godwin's Law for the Bored of Studies forum, adding "George Bush, John Howard or a reference to the Telling the Truth module".
