im so screwed for maths ext 1 and its in two days and i didnt have much time to study for it cuz all my subjects are very content heavy and my trials schedule happened to be back to back and also have pdh with ext on thurday. I havent been getting very well in ext and have kept it as everyone said i should but i really dont think i can do well and im stressing so much about it. my teachers said to keep it cuz i can do better in hsc but idk. im not aiming for a e4, instead a e3
is it ok if i flunk this test and do better in hsc

It does not matter what mark you get for ext 1. If ext 1 is not among your best 10 units, another subject will take its place.

Another factor to consider is the scaling of ext 1. In short, you should be okay.

I was ranked 16th last yr for extension in a school that was barely in the top 50s, mind you there were people who got e4 ranked 27th. There was also a student who received 70% on one of the internals that weighted 30%, and he got 96 final mark (int+ext/2). Imo keep it. see how u do in the trial. Take it as more a chance to gain marks 1 by 1 rather thank reaching a benchmark of a 'pass'. Lots of students get severely stressed beforehand and from experience, I can definitively tell you that it does not help.
