Hey guys, I'm using Born into Brothels the documentary as my GLobal Village related text. Anyone have anything to add to justify this as a text?
It's basically about third world coulntry's with mothers who give birth to children solely to be forced into cheap prostitution.
The point I'm making with this is that some people respond to the world they live in with desperate acts of survival, fuelling exploitation and western lust. It also demonstrates how we respond to teh problems of our world- we leave it hanging until it becomes this bad, and still try to exploit the victims.
Any more viewpoints on this text would be helpful. If you haven't seen it suggestions would be great too
