If i was gonna guess id say about 17 for MC 35 for Short Answer and lets say 34 for essays. Which equals 86/100. But honestly, who knows. :S

In 2002, I got 20/20 for the MC (the answers were on the std pack), but after reading the samples for the essays, I didn't go to well in them - so I estimated my raw mark to be around 80/100, and the aligned mark I got back was 91/100

So, you'd need to get at least 85/100 to get a Band 6 (accounting for the increase in 'smartness' and number of people doing eco's)

When i did my economics hsc paper in 2003, my overall mark was 89 so i think i did ok eco was my worst subject to..suprisingly im doing it at uni right now and i love it!

I guess i didn't like it in high school because i had a stupid teacher who went on about his life and how he was doing 'graduate law' at Sydney Law School..Yehhh rightttttttt...

doesn't the scaling profile in SAM tell us the raw marks needed?

like the blue line curve and the red line which is the scaled marks distribution

according to that, it was about 86 to get 90 in 03, and for 02 about the same maybe about 85?

or perhaps im talking about somthing irrelevant to this thread.
