comps - if your good at writing music then go for it - but you have to make a comp. diary that very detailed in how you made your work (which is the down side to comps I think)
vivas - if your good at talking and understanding the concepts of music as well as researching the topic your doing, then its a good thing to do. I dont really understand vivas - so yeah.
and
pracs - are good if you like performing infront of people - or at all.

I hate it, but i hate comp diarys and viva, so im doing all performances. You get to show off your skill in a particular instrument.

So just pick whatever you think your going to be more comfortable doing + good at.

i hate comp diaries!
how much is enough?
coz i have nothing to write about my composition that i'm doing right now, it's pretty basic
oh, and do you reckon you get more marks for technicality or conveying emotions well?

I did a viva last year for hsc, it was a bit scary but it went well, to tell you the turth i was terrified. You just need to know your topic and music pieces u wish to refer to really, really well (concepts of music etc). Oh, and don't blank out in front of the examiners. Its a good idea to practice the viva with someone before hand, a classmate etc, it helps build up your confidence.
