hey guys,
i have been studying for my half yearlies and i just needed a clear explantation of how you could tell if a characteristic or disease was autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, sex linked x dominant or selx linked x recessive.

if anyone could help me that would be awesome

Autosomal Dominant: Huntington's disease, neurofibromatosis
Autosomal Recessive: Myopia, Cystic fibrosis
X-linked Recessive: Haemophilia, Red-green colourbliness
X-linked Dominant: No idea.

Pedigrees suck - I can never work out from a pedigree chart whether the father/mother are heterozygous/homozygous for a particular trait, or whether it's sex linked/recessive...all that jazz. I've got my bio exam tomorrow :(
