I also know a few that are doing an ex 2 + ex 1 combo. It's pretty hectic. :uhhuh:

mx1 and mx2 takes up a lot of time.
Complex numbers, so far it's understandable, not so scary. There are a few rules you have to follow. It's all about the argand diagram.
But just turn to the last page of questions in your textbook or look at question 8 of any hsc exam. That is scary.
Be strong in mx1 and you'll do well in mx2.

It's a fact and i hate it. english ex1 is a 1-unit course and therefore, half the value of adv. english. But does it bear half the workload advanced does?? It sure doesn't and is way different (in terms of topics and concepts) to advanced.
Therefore, you spend more time per unit of ex1 than per unit of english.

The same truth is a LOT moreso for maths and mx1 though.

Yeh MX2 and MX1 are taking up a lot of time, but MX1 is taking up the most time so far :( MX2 is kind of hard, cambridge doesn't explain properly enough to do the exercises :chainsaw:

I do 12 units - 4u of English, 5u of History, Legal Studies and SOR I.

A couple of my friends take 4u Math, and they use the Cambridge textbook. They say it's a bit hard 'cause Cambridge doesn't explain things clearly, but their 4u Math teacher wrote the book, so I guess she helps them when they get confused. :p

Are you allowed to do 5 units of history? [modern, ancient and ext I'm guessing]
Yes. they can't stop you from doing both mod and ancient. Add history x and you've got 5.

Yeh true. There's more work to do in MX! than in maths, yet its of lesser value.
