feeling blue...

flyin', please don't delete this, i need an outlet otherwise i'm gonna jump...
first of all i'd like to say that:
those who don't remember history are condemned to repeat it
second of all i'd like to say that:

*insert lyrics of Kai Bu Luo Ko and Long Juan Feng by Jay Chow*

i'd also like to say that:

ai shi yi ge huai dong xi

lastly i would like someone to hire me for a casual job (or three) for the next month because i really want to work my ass off for menial pay, be so physically exhausted that i forget everything, that if i was God i'd make the world asexual and do without this whole bullshit heterosexual courtship ritual, that all humans can read each other's minds and we're all honest and honesty is brutality, kindness is cruelty...

i wish she could deceive me again and that life was a dream forever...

but right now, all i can wish for is that i do not, and need not, exist.

good evening and good night,
dejavu,
Frigid out.

another day, another sad love song...

jay's new song in the hidden track EP... called broken string... translation re-rendered by me, originally translated by the wonderful people at jay-chou.net
how can you reconnect a broken string?
you can no longer hear my feelings,
and your change of heart is a string that has snapped.
no matter how i adjust, the sound becomes flawed,
the notes of your change, i can clearly distinguish...

i am silent, your words are also minimal,
what are we missing between us? let's not say...
aiya... after a meek smile, my expression finally reveals some sadness,
(holding your hand)
i ask for your decision, then i leave...

i laugh suddenly with a relieved mind;
the laughter spirals halfway round the mountains,
borne on the winds, swaying to and fro,
arriving, curls itself around you.
your tears run down in a stream,
saying you will remember our good times,
i also have to force my lips and smile...

to whom have you already given your beauty?
chasing again and again, i can't retrieve it.
now i realise that the leaf, having left the tree,
belongs the world of the ground to wither away...

trying once more to pluck the broken string,
now that you're no longer in my world,
my fingertips have already calloused from the playing,
nevertheless i am unable to keep you by my side.

how can you reconnect a broken string?
you can no longer hear my feelings,
and your change of heart is a string that has snapped.
no matter how i adjust, the sound becomes flawed,
the notes of your change, i can clearly distinguish...
if there's one thing that beats latin/italian poetry, it's the words of a jay chow song... so sad... :(

soz for any translating mistakes, bcoz i have taken some translator's freedom... :)

But the queen, now long since smitten with a grievous love-pang, nourished the wound with her life-blood, and was consumed by a fire she kept hidden. Oft the courage of her hero, and oft the nobility of his descent, rushed back to her heart, and her anguish gave no peaceful rest to her limbs. The next day's dawn was moving over the earth with Phoebus' torch, and had scattered the dewy shade in heaven, when barely sane, she addressed her sister as follows'... lol... omg i still rmb... heres some virgil

what is known as the shortest, yet harshest misogynistic criticism:

"varium et mutabile semper femina" - Virgil, The Aeneid, Book IV
