Is it possible to start a VET without doing it as a prelim? (1 Viewer)

I know that you can't begin new subjects in yr12 if you haven't done it in yr11 but I want to know if this applies to TAFE Vet courses. I would really like to do IT there.

My school has offered kids starting yr12 this year entry into a mining education course so it doesn't seem to be impossible...

Can someone help me out?
