Comes out this Thursday at Hoyts.

All the boys and I have already made plans. :D

I suggest anybody who's a fan of Initial D, the AE86 Sprinter or the concept motorsport that is Drifting.. should take a look. It's in Japanese (with english subtitles), and it is NOT animated. This one is real, but is still loyal to the concepts and themes of the Initial D animation.

Yep, saw it at reading ages ago.

Its not bad actually, in the sense that its not a bad effort at series adaptation.

Also i saw some odd posted saying 'initial d' on some night at a nightclub in the city...are they playing music from initial d or something, i didnt get that.

Its actually in chinese since its done by Hong Kong film makers and stars predominantly chinese actors but i believe parts of it (akina) were filmed in Japan and features Anne Suzuki.

I didn't like it. Anne Suzuki's quite cute and Jay Chou really suited the role of Takumi but other then the races and the Anne/Jay kiss, it was shit.

i thought the movie was crap, maybe it go to hyped up

i hate how they used CG instead of real cars for a lot of the scenes :(
jay chow acting was terrible and so were many of the other characters
oh, i hate edison no matter what

could have been better, story fitted in well though....
cinematography was quite well done, you can tell the director gave back the comic book feel to the movie

Meh, couldn't be stuffed driving all the way to Sydney to watch it. :p

We're all dividing up the costs and buying it on DVD.

this is the only movie for a long time that people actually like his performance, reason is that in the entire movie all he had to do was act drunk and sleep....LOL
