Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone could suggest as to what references I should make to the following:

Explain an advantage of using domestic mechanisms to protect human rights with reference to an example.

Should I talk about treaties, or does this statement encompass much more, say, natural law doctrine? I don't really understand what the term "domestic" is referring to =o=; .

Any help would be embraced >o<. Thanks in advance <33 ^^;

Treaties are not domestic. The ratification of treaties is.

There are plenty of mecahnisms...

HREOC...
Anti Discrimination Legilsation (derived from international law)

Rah rah rah.

Anything you do though will require a link back to the UNDOHR which is of course the document that led to ratification of all these rights. Also could look at how the Magna Carta/other Historical Documents hve had an affect on our attitude to HR and mechanissms to ensure the protection.

Domestic mechanisms are good...why. (Are applicable to our society....faster dealings....rah rah rah)
