Can some1 show the conversions to show that binding energy = 931.5 * [mass defect in u]

i know binding energy is calculated in MeV and that E=mc2 calculates energy in joules hwoever wen i try to convert it... i dont get 931.5 >.<

Suppose E is the binding energy, m is the mass defect, c is the speed of light in vacuum:

E = mc^2
= c^2
so E/m = (8.9876 * 10^16) J/Kg (speed of light in vacuum, squared)

since 1 MeV = 1.6022 * 10^-13 J,
E/m = (8.9876 * 10^16) / (1.6022 * 10^-13) MeV/Kg

since 1 AMU = 1.6606 * 10^-27 Kg
E/m = (8.9876 * 10^16) / (1.6022 * 10^-13) * (1.6606 * 10^-27) MeV/AMU
= 931.5 MeV/AMU.

so (binding energy in MeV) = 931.5 * (mass defect in AMU)

E=mc^2 (I really wish they would turn on HTML scripts here)
=1.66056*10^-27 u*(299 792 458)^2
=1.4924369*10^-10 uJ
=1.4924369*10^-10/(1.60217646*10^-19) ueV
=931 505 946.4 eVu
=931.5 uMeV
Where u is the amount of atomic mass units.
