Ok Say i want to choose to do a double major being - Accounting/Management

How many subs of each do I do? Can somebody help me with this. In other words how many core's/ electives do i have to do from each major. Is it exactly half or what?

Link to Accounting Major

http://www.econ.usyd.edu.au/major/20.html

Link to Management Major

http://www.econ.usyd.edu.au/major/94.html

Also it is possible for me along with Accounting/Management Majors to also do the Accounting Professional Accreditation Program as a third major as most of its subjects core and elective are the same as the Accounting major.

thx

5 compulsory units of study:
Compulsory units offered in this major

* ACCT1001 Accounting IA
* ACCT1002 Accounting IB
* ACCT2011 Financial Accounting A
* ACCT2012 Management Accounting A
* ECMT1010 Business and Economic Statistics A

Plus at least 4 of the following (5 of the following must be completed if both Accounting Honours preparation units are undertaken):
Elective units offered in this major

* ACCT3011 Financial Accounting B
* ACCT3012 Management Accounting B
* ACCT3013 Financial Statement Analysis
* ACCT3014 Auditing

* ACCT3032 Current Issues in Management Accounting
* ACCT3098 Accounting Honours Preparation A
* ACCT3099 Accounting Honours Preparation B
* CLAW2201 Corporations Law
etc.

and yes you can do prof accreditation as long as you dont waste too many electives

Yes. But you don't have to do ALL the electives listed, you just have to complete enough senior credit points to be awarded the major (usually 6 senior units of study). You should be able to do accounting and management quite comfortably, also, the accreditation program is not a third major, its just an outline of the units required to be accredited with the ICAA/CPAA.

Though i notice that management has a wide range of cores, i think you only have to do a certain amount of them. Here it is:

3 compulsory units of study:
Any 2 1000 level units of study from ECOS, GOVT, MKTG and WORK (eg. ECON1001 & WORK1003);and
WORK2201 Foundations of Management

Plus you need the 6 senior credit units (6 credit points each - so 36 CP) to complete the major, this is the same for accounting, but with different core requirements of course.
