Help With Spec Fic PLEASE!!! (1 Viewer)

Hey im struggling to write a Spec Fi Story can anyone help? It must explore the concept of change and its impact upon the human condition. The change may be environmental, socio-political, economical, philosophic or technological.

So far im throwing around the idea of having it set say 1000 years in the future and having it as a socially based changed of what was and what is? and having the main character as someone who has travvelled into the future or something like futurama where they get frozen and then 1000years later unfrozen.

Any ideas im totally stumped.... :worried:

OK another change i think i will have the story set on another planet? Not sure what its called yet but im getting there...

Try not to shamelessly rip off ideas from TV when you write it though.

Just a warning not to make your plot too complicated. Short spec fic stories are quite different from the kind of texts that you actually study in the course. Pick up a book of short stories to get a feel for it. I assume that your word limit is under 2500 words which is realy hard to do a story of large scope in.
