Sketch y = √x+5 for -4<x<4 and find its maximum and minimum values.

I differentiated it to get stationary points. But I ended up with this:
1/x+5 = 0

If the former, solution is

If latter, no solution. To convince yourself, I suppose you could graph the function.

Can you show me how? Because after multiplying all terms by x, i get x=0. Which is weird.
