i’m currently in maths advanced but i’m planning to drop to standard 2. my school isn’t letting me drop yet since we can only drop in week 4 of year 12, so i’m just waiting for now.

since i haven’t done any of the standard content in year 11, what would your advice be to catch up and set myself up to do really well in standard?

start making summary sheets, yesterday. you’ll find that a lot of the year 11 content is stuff you already know. but it’s important you have a good grasp on it. hopefully you can access your past topics online in some way? when i dropped, i had everything on onenote so it was easy for me to catch up. even if you think it’s easy, make sure youre testing yourself on it using past paper questions to make sure you actually know it and aren’t just assuming you do (i saw a lot of dropped adv kids assume they knew stuff because they found it easy, then didn’t do well at all).
