FINS1612 or 1613? (1 Viewer)

i haven't done 1612 yet but i was wonderin if it's wise to jump straight into 1613 this semester and do 1612 at the begining of next yr

Looks like 1612 is a coreq of 1613. They might let you do it based on merit. Email the LIC to see if they'll let you do it.

u can do 1613 without having to do 1612 provided ure doing both macroecon and acct 1b (or have done it) while doing 1613.

oh i know i can definitely pick it, i'm jus askin if i'll be disadvantaged if i haven't done 1612

oh no, u wouldnt
infact, actuarial students are meant to do 1613, but only those doing a finance major as well do 1612. so there really shouldnt be a roblem ..... i think its the same with acct majors. u need 1613 for ur cpa, but no 1612

well i am plannin on majorin in finance

but is there any stuff in 1613 tat may require prior knowledge in 1612?

No
because Accounting and actuaries have to do 1613, but not 1612, so theres no prior knowledge
