It saddens me that I hardly know anyone here who does eco. I feel like it's one of the tougher subjects to prepare for, what with all the content, MCQ grind, stat memorisation, case studies, essay scaffolding...

What's everyone's plan? How are we progressing so far??

What's everyone's plan? How are we progressing so far??

For economics trials I recommend compiling economics articles so you can fit recent economic analysis into your answers. Ideally your paragraph should be:

• Theory: diagram
• Theory: cause
• Theory: effect
• Example: economic example with stats
• Analysis: analyse example according to theory

So you need to have your theory and examples down pat. To make your theory stand out, learn the niche theories that not many people will talk about e.g. twin deficit theory, crowding out effect. However these should supplement core theory. Do not neglect the core. To make your examples stand out have some good insights as to the current economic state of Australia in relation to theory. If you can do all this you’ll write good short answers and essays.
